Video Description and Notes

  • We’re going to talk about how to maintain posture angles during the golf swing.
  • Since I am a TPI certified golf fitness trainer I will go over some tips to help you improve your overall golf fitness.
  • According to TPI statistics, 64% of golfers lose their golf posture when they produce their golf swing.
  • There are two reasons why this may happen, technical reasons and fitness reasons. Today I will focus on mainly the fitness reasons.
  • Here are the reasons:
    • Weak or tight glutes or legs.
    • Inability to separate the upper body and lower body.
    • Tightness in the upper body.
  • Today I will focus on the first reason (Weak or tight glutes or legs).
  • I will show you a stretching exercise to stretch out your legs, glutes, and hamstrings.
  • I will also show you how to make a bridge to strengthen your glutes. There are also ways to make scale this exercise to make it easier or more difficult.
  • If you have difficulty doing the bridges, I suggest you do it as much as possible until they become a regular exercise you can practice with ease.
