  • Question:
    • With the driver, you told us to make the swoosh sound 3′ in front of the ball. However, my swoosh happens at the ball not 3′ past the ball. How can I correct this?
  • I show you how you can fix this aspect of the swing using an alignment stick.
  • Using an alignment stick is a good way to practice when you are not on the golf course. It’s safer and it also imitates the “swoosh” sound, helping you point out issues you might have when swinging the driver.
  • I show you what “swooshing” 3 feet in front of the golf ball looks like using the alignment stick.
  • I also show you the incorrect method of “swooshing” at the golf ball and what it look like.
  • When you swoosh at the golf ball, you use your arms as the main power source. When you do it correctly, you will be primarily using your back as the source of power.

    Hi Aimee, I am using Ena Driver 12.5% loft. I have been driving only 140 lately & I know that I have done all the correct step. Can I get anew driver to help me with distance? I gave 7 & 5 iron wood. I am using callaway set

    Hi Aimee! Wow your life story is so inspiring! Anyway, loooong story short… I use to play from 2 – 4 handicap 15 years back but due to numerous back and knee injuries I played less and less and 3 months ago played from a 14! I decided enough is enough and started rebuilding my swing. I fixed everything from the grip to the release and probably hit a couple of thousand balls on the range. I always have been a good player from 100 yards in but really battled with the long game. After the swing changes I picked up 15 yards on my irons and 20 on the driver (mostly by more lower body rotation and less head movement. However, I could not get any consistency on the driver. In the 5 rounds after swing changes I have been averaging less than 50% off the tee on FIR and shot mid 80’s. Last night I came across your videos on youtube and watched most if them. I loved the ones explaining the difference between driver and irons swing. Especially the “throwing the hands” part as I was always taught not to do that and just to turn the hips which I struggled with and injured my back on numerous times. I also never heard about using your abs in the downswing! So today I focussed on what you said about tempo (slow backswing) with full turn, relaxing the shoulders, using abs in downswing (not throwing the hips) and them getting the Y with that “swoosh” sound. I nailed 13 from 14 fairways and shot 1 under for first time in 15 years! Down to 7 handicap now! Thanks so much and can’t wait to watch all your current and future video’s.

    Is the iron swing power similar to the driver down swing (swoosh past 3 ft)
